Perfect Spot
Perfect Spot! Lots of campsites! They were all so friendly! Great amenities. Laundry room was great $3.50 to wash, .25 cents per 4minutes to dry. We had great service (AT&T, Verizon & T-Mobile) They have their own parking lot at the beach but need to get there early. There is also a shuttle that will pick you up. We rode our bikes every day there, easier than trying to find parking. We were at site 69. Nice level pull through. They had a DJ at the pool in the evenings, Bingo, and crafts on the weekend. Lots of fun. Plenty of attractions close by. We will return if we pass this way again. Happy Travels

Fine
Place is huge. I've never been in a campground you could legit get lost in lol. Pools were nice staff was nice. Alot of "party people." We were back in the "700s" which I was happy about it was quiet back there.

Large RV Park Several Sites N Amenities
The park has several types of sites so be specifics on what you want, we booked a site and when we arrived found out it was on a grassy/gravel/dirt pad… would not have been good for us as we are over 20 tons, luckily they had other options for us. Would stay again. Note it is close to Navy Air Base you you do have noise from planes flying overhead.

Another Campground Owner F/Another State
They treated us like family. Info galore what to expect at outer banks. Take that trip and stay here before taking your camper on a ferry ride from Ocracoke to cedar island. Big park, anyone will enjoy!

A Little Dated, But Charming!
Nice campground! HUGE! Four nice BIG pools! Easy check in, quick! Phil in the office, a delight to talk with, so helpful! Close to the beach, has designated parking lot just for campers about 2 blocks from the beach. Felt safe. We were in spot #37 - level, mostly sand / gravel, a little grass. Big site, at a crossroads, so some camp traffic, but close to a pool and close to bathhouse if needed. Clean, camp staff always are seen out and about, working, cleaning, mowing, maintaining, etc. Has a trolley that runs every 30 minutes or so to the beach and other local attractions.

Amazing Property!
We stayed here for one night only while passing through - the property is deceptively huge and has a ton of amenities. Definitely would go back & spend more time there!

Good and Bad
We stayed at this park for about 6 weeks from Dec ‘20 into Jan ‘21.
The good nice big park a variety of site types and costs ranging from concrete deluxe sites to essentially dirt. People are pleasant they were accommodating and keep the park pretty clean. It’s a good location geographically for VA Beach and especially if you are military or retired and want access to the nearby naval base.
The Bad- You will be dive bombed practically daily - all day from early morning until as late as 11PM by planes on approach to that same military base. Make no mistake - this is rattle your windows drown out your TV loud. Every 2 mins for most of the day almost every day. They literally fly right over the deluxe portion of the park.
Oh and you will want those limited sweet deluxe spots if it rains - because the others turn to mud holes. The water table is so high the whole park is prone to poor drainage and flooding meaning if you get a lot of rain it will be there for days. Just be advised

Seems Good To Us
I was hesitant because of the last post in May 2019. We are here in early August 2019. We were directed to go straight to the promised site and set up, then come back and check in, which was nice because it’s wicked hot outside. AC on in the rig in less than 5 mins of arrival.
Water pressure is good and not BROWN as precious post states. Check in was 3 minutes. Done. I am not doing my grocery shopping at the camp store so that is irrelevant, nor Am i concerned with Speeding golf carts:) and we like music so that should be fun too. It sounds like the previous post was just needing to be back in their retirement community. I WILL however lock up my stuff tonight just in case:)

Zipped Off
Check-in registration is too slow, water pressure is extremely low and brown water, the bands and/or DJ’s play very loud music till 12:00 pm , golf carts go faster than posted speed when children are playing, pools are not kept clean or not all open for the 600 + sites, also, food and chips and candy at their own grocery stores are out-of-date ........ I have been camping for years here and all of these issues have been happening consistently for 3 years now........ I’m hoping that they will get more organized and tweak these problems soon for a great location for us campers ....... I hear many complaints but I think people try to overlook most of these issues.
Also, be aware of 2:00 am thieves coming into the campgrounds and stealing bikes, and possessions in vehicles, and even stealing and joy riding and wrecking golf carts.....

4th July
My family and my friends family stayed this week. We loved it, from all the pools, riding bikes, walking the huge campground. Very friendly staff. Pretty close sites, but we did everything we wanted to with no problems. The beach parking was fantastic. We had a blast.

Very Busy Place
This is a huge campground with spaces suitable to every size and budget, though not cheap. This was our very first campground. We were parked in a pull through with a dirt space.
The campers were friendly (and helpful) as was the staff. They have several pools, bathhouses, a small restaurant, shop, playgrounds, everything I could think of, including a convenience store (outside of the property), easy access to bike paths, and all the tourist stuff Hampton Roads is famous for. I gave it two stars because low price to quality ratio of the campground itself.

Decent Place
Been here for four days to include a weekend. No real issues here. People are super friendly and the patrons are all respectful. It’s a long weekend and we stayed a few extra days during off season.

Great campground. It’s not really a quiet spot, it’s more like a small community. There is a party with music every night, with families at the pool and people relaxing and drinking. I did smell something that definitely wasn’t tobacco while at my camper, but that was about it.
WiFi only really worked in one small area. The grounds were well marked but still difficult to navigate. They had a free parking lot available at Virginia Beach too, which was really convenient. Laundry on site.

Nice Place, Good Location...
I've been here a couple of times and it's a big campground. Folks are nice, hookups are solid and reasonably placed, sites I've had are level and stone. Location is excellent for the beach and local activities.

Not Family Oriented
If you are not into drinking to get drunk, extremely loud music and illegal drugs then don’t go here! If you are into these things then this is your kind of campground.
Local bands and DJ’s play from 7 pm - 11 pm nightly at the pool closest to the office. The music volume is excessive. We were on site 111 and heard the music inside of our travel trailer as if it were coming out of our speakers. Our children had a difficult time falling asleep due to the loud music. I’m confident that the music could be heard throughout the entire campground which is very large! If you are tent camping here beware as it may sound like the band is inside your tent.
The beach parking lot on 9th street is a nice amenity of this campground but beware... you may not find a spot as they also let non campers park in the lot for $10 x day. We witnessed many non campground vehicles there. Go early to get a spot.
Trash was still on our site when we arrived... was not removed until requested.

Great Campground
We stayed for 5 days and loved it! We went to the beach almost everyday and came back and enjoyed the pools or played basketball on the court. Very nice pull through sites also. Great campground!!

Very Nice And Clean!
Stayed there on Friday and Saturday nights late September with 2 dogs. 1 pool was open, dog's park. Very clean toilets and showers. No privacy on sites. Next to US marine airport. No planes on the week end we where there. Went to the beach and aquarium on a short bike ride.

Huge park
As mentioned, this is a huge park. Lots of pull through sites, with decent backins. Very much a family oriented park. Centrally located to everything and the price shows it. My only complaint was that golf carts have free rein to speed through the park with no minimum age requirement for their drivers.

I Had A Great Time And A Great Spot
I've visited here for Labor Day and had the best time ever and it's close to the beach and plenty of things to see and do. At the large pull in the front they had a band. With plenty of smaller pools throughout the park to allow for a little bit more privacy. I will go back to the spot again and again

Went on a weekend in October when they have Halloween for the kids. If you have kids it might be a fun thing to do as they have decorations and activities. They also have a pool and mini-golf etc. It was very noisy/loud and lots of young people driving around in golf carts too fast at times. Quiet time is 11pm, and I think it got quiet around 11:35. It looked like people were having fun with family/friends, but if you are looking for quiet this might not be a good choice esp in October. Then again if you have kids and/or a large group it might be your spot.
