A Great Week-long Stay
Stayed in our 24’ Class C at site 10.
The Site: level site(dirt), clean power(30A), good water pressure, paved thru-road, short walk to shower house/beach entrance, picnic table, fire ring w/folding iron grill. This site is right next to the main road running parallel to the park so traffic noise can be loud at times. It was an extremely hot and humid week (100+ heat index) so rather buggy but nice shade is provided by huge oak trees.
The Park: very clean overall, friendly park staff, clean restrooms, nice coin-laundry (4 washers and dryers $1.50/per). A surprisingly well-stocked camp store with a nice array of RV supplies, MTO food, souvenirs and apparel. There’s a bus stop, clean dump station with cleaning hose and free air pump.
The Beach: like having a semi-private shore that isn’t nearly as busy as the boardwalk shore. Tons of room, clean, abundant sea life, beautiful views of sunrises/sunsets, dolphins and sea birds.
Will definitely return!

Very Good Place To Camp
We have camped here a number of times. Nice view of Chesapeake Bay. I like to watch the ships pass by at night. They also had bus service from the park to the beach area.

Last minute plan to make a stop over. The website was great to pick the spot closer to bathrooms etc. The beach is clean and kids really enjoyed. Quite, clean.

Great Place And No Bugs
Made our first visit here, took the only spot left with power and water. Wonderful campground, power and water sites are pretty private. Definitely going to go back! Beach access was great. Lots of dogs because they are park and beach friendly for dogs. The place is pretty flat so bring a bike if you have one, plenty of kids on bikes too! It was September and in the 80's and no bugs in our shaded camp site. I just couldn't believe it, kept the van doors open all day, no flys or mosquitoes. Definitely recommend this place!

Nice Campground
We had site #165. No problem with our 39' motorhome, dolly and car. Pretty level also and enough room for entertaining and eating at this site. 4 sites from bathhouse. Friendly staff

Awesome!!
This place is amazing! Very close to the beach, we did fishing off the beach and caught a blue crab, little stingray, and some Jack's. You can buy a 10 day salt water fishing license using their app called GoOutDoorsVA for only $10. No wifi but cellular internet is 17/15Mbps on 3 bars LTE. you can get 15 over the air TV channels. Some sites are not leveled so bring blocks. If you can bring bikes there's awesome trails, also great run routes without being in the direct sun. Sunsets are really pretty, bring bug spray though. In town you get to hear Jets roaring as there's an airbase which is pretty cool.

My Favorite 2017 Campground
2 weeks stays mid September to mid October on different sites with 2 dogs. Prefer the 148-153 sites. Shady, some very large. Very nice beach, less waves. Went to Sandbridge park for days at the beach with waves. Very nice trekking trails and cycling paths. Visit Fort Henry on US Marine base and bring ID. The nicest sunset on the ocean. Full on weekends!

Beachfront
Site 188. Full hookups would make this a 5 star stopover. Very tight drive in access, I wouldn't recommend arriving after dark. Spaces were secluded, clean and flat'ish. Our site was close to the bathhouse and beach access. I would definitely stay here again.

28' Airstream
Have stayed here several times. We love this campground. Best sites ever, love the beach and miles of great trails. Close to V.B. but so private. My favorite campground ever. Very dog friendly. Do not miss Big Sam's inlet cafe, best food on the planet.

We loved camping at First Landing. The campsites are private with trees and scrubs on all sides. Bathhouses very clean, nice hot showers. Beautiful beach, miles of hikes and bike trails. We had a relaxing time.
