The area and the property are beautiful, however, the entire campground needs a lot of attention. The roads and sites need to be repaved, and the bathrooms need to be updated. Most of the sites are small, but they are private. Less than 1 mile from BRP. Unless the property is updated, we would look to stay elsewhere.

Terrible
The National Park Service and the Blue Ridge Parkway has got to be embarrassed as to what has happened to the Peaks of Otter. The name and description had me excited to get there. Shocked!! Nasty! Run down! Grown up! Do not stay here unless you have no other choice!
