I enjoyed waking up with the birds at this campground. I didn't care for the shower. I had to press for water every 30 seconds. There are better ways to enforce water conservation. Also, you have to pay for a pricy day pass each day on top of the camping fee.
The hiking trails were poorly marked. I didn't expect to need my hiking gps for the labyrinth of tall grasses. The lake had blue green algae so you couldn't swim and it didn't want to deal with how intensely I would need to clean my boat to take it out on that.

Pretty good
A nice campground with some beautiful sites. Not much for hiking trails around the campground. A good place to go if you want to fish. Not a lot to do beyond that but Madison is close.

Good Spot
No water at sites. Available at dumping station. Quiet, nice walking paths, fun biking for kids. Beach a long ways from camping. Lake is good for fishing but murky for swimming.

Okay For One Night
This was an okay stop for one night but probably wouldn’t come back. If we had stayed longer we would have wanted to take our dog on the trail but they don’t allow it even on leash yet they say they are dog friendly. Bathrooms were lacking; lots of trash around from other people, didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a while. The campsites also flood very badly when it rains. We stayed in our camper so it wasn’t so bad for us but had we stayed in a tent... it could have been worse.
