Bring Bugs Spray!!
This campground is small, very well kept, with about 25 spots available. We went the week after the 4th it July and it was only about 1/3 full. The spots are gravel, aren’t too close together, and it’s very flat. Bathroom is clean and has a dishwashing station. Fire pits at each site, shady trees throughout. Running and biking trails pass by the site and the lake is a short walk. Walmart just up the road about a mile. If you don’t have a reservation just check the schedule online and if it’s not full you can just claim an empty spot. Information on what do do is located on the board in front of registration.

Our Favorite
We are full timers, but spend our summers in Madison. We have to move around between the county camp grounds due to the 14 days max stay, but Lake Farm is by far our favorite. It's close to downtown and right in the Capital City bike path. Reserve early as it feels up fast.

Nice Place
Nicely maintained campground. The only concern is the number of transients tent camping. No issues, just unusual.

Lovely Park
Wanted tour the state capital very convenient to get downtown. Wal-Mart nearby. Nice park most sites on gravel-- neat, clean campground with shower facilities. Quiet! Would definitely camp here again. Looks like it could be booked up on the weekend's-- even in October!!
