Nice Enough
We paid $43/night with the Good Sam discount. Not much in the way of trees or shade. Bathroom/showers were clean. One shower had no cold water, one other had the lines switched.
The sites are dirt and gravel with a patch of grass between and has two sewer hookups. Plenty of space. Lots of overnighters and some fulltimers.
The WiFi was almost entirely useless. I used my cellphone as a hotspot.

Very nice campground. Pleasent and helpful staff. Diner with very good fried food. No freeway noise. Would stay there again.

Great For Overnight
We stayed overnight and had plenty of room. Easy and off the interstate and you don't hear the noise from the road. They have nice dog runs. Just needs to be updated some, we would stay again.

Not real fancy but level roomy spots. Cable was nice to have. Wifi allowed streaming Netflix. Accomodating staff. A well run park.

Very nice all you want in campground. Easy in level parking lots of room friendly staff did not get to eat at restaurant as it was Sunday and they were not open. Will stay again

Great Overnight Stop
Convenient Old KOA with new owners. $39 credit, $36 cash. It was about a third full, don’t know why they didn’t space us every other spot. Right next to 42 ft 5th wheel running 3 air conditioners (75 degrees outside) open your windows already.

Great little RV spot, no longer a KOA, with plenty of room for those without reservations. Great little cafe with home cooking. Would stay here again

Great place to settle in. Super clean restrooms, large spaces with a wonderful restaurant and the staff is really friendly. It’s about 1/2 to 3/4 mile off I 10 so the highway noise is almost nonexistent. They also accept Good Sam. We’ll be back on our return trip...

Clean and quiet. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Only stayed one night, but very enjoyable. Level sites. The town of van horn has nothing to offer, but this was a great overnight stay during our travels.

Great Campsite
Great owners, flat land, full hookups, free WiFi, very helpful, and very reliable. Also, the stars looked very nice from the campground at night. I would totally recommend this camp site.

Nice Overnight
36 with good sam discount. Sites are plenty big for anyone with some space between neighbors. Pool was closed for season. The cafe was good. It is always nice to not ave to cook after being on the road. Only noise was an occasional train whistle in the distance. They also have corrals if you are traveling with your horses.

Great park to stay for an overnighter. Large pull thru and space in between. What’s great is they have a cafe. Food is very good and many take advantage after a long days drive. I hear the breakfasts are also very good. Only 36.00 with the Good Sams card. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stop
We are new to RV'en, and found this Park Employee to be nothing but the best. Helped us through the process of getting checked in with no stress. And his bread was the best! Thanks Van Horn Good Sam!

It's A Place To Stay.
Looks kinda scarey when you do find it varied behind many modular homes. But, the staff was very friendly and the stay was okay. Cable didn't work. WiFi open and worked well. Lots were rather flooded due to resent rains. All in all not aweful.

My family and I stopped here for the night. Very nice, quiet, clean, restrooms and showers. Really good price. Situated right off from I-10 with a good view of the mountains. We came in late with no problem finding a spot. Highly recommend.

Van Horn RV Park was a great spot for the one night we were there. Clean bathrooms. Great owners and the cafe was nice to have for breakfast. Will stop again on the way home.

Very Nice RV Park
This park is one of the nicest we've stayed in. Big park with pull-thru's. The park has 2 fenced in dog areas!! Park has a pond and several areas for walking. Laundry available 24/7. Bathrooms are super clean. Wifi available. The park has a restaurant that is open breakfast through supper and if you call and order, they'll deliver to your RV!! They also have a store with necessities available.

Not Bad
Not pretty but good place to stay the night. The town is close to dead. RJ has good food. Sites are level park is clean. Worth a night.

Just far enough off the freeway to be quiet. Pull thrus are big enough that my 60' length just fit. Clean park and well stocked store.

Dry Camping Available
Since we have solar, full water tanks and empty waste tanks we selected dry camping. Toilets and showers are very clean with lots of hot water. Train noise gets through, traffic noise is mostly muted.

Campers
This place is ok .
Its marked as a KOA park thru the Park ADVISER APP but it not and not been for many years .
It probly the quieter of the rest in town as it is the farthest from HWY 10 and the train line .
Park workers are nice and helpful.
Not much to do in the area and it appears it mainly a stop over park .
Bathrooms and office area very clean .
Park roadways are very dusty so all is in Texas .

Alaskans
Very nice desert park. Level sites, convenience store and cafe.
They spent Thanksgiving preparing an excellent dinner with all the fixings for the guests here.
Would definitely stay here again.

Nice park. Clean and great WiFi and cable tv. Easy on and off. Cafe food pretty good too. Management made a mistake in our reservations and took full responsibility and fixed it in our favor. Can’t ask for more.

Great Place To Stay
Great place to stay for the night. Office open until 8:00...usually the offices are shut down by 5:00. Friendly staff and great service and food at the Cafe!! Will stay again.

Great Place
Great stop after a long day on the road. Reasonably priced. Good food at the cafe at a reasonable price. Very nice and helpful staff. But, my dog didn't like the goatheads.

We are very pleased with this park. Easy access to all the spaces. Park is well maintained. The staff is very helpful. We would stay here again. It was easy to find the park. I would rate the park with 4 stars.

What a great RV park. Penny was welcoming after a long day driving through rain. The campground is clean & well kept. The is a cafe at campground reasonable prices & will deliver to your rig if you want. Level sites. Would stay again if in the area.

Nice and quite. Pool was great! The dogs enjoyed the run and the pond was nice. Angie is very helpful and nice. We will stay again on our way back. The rabbits, birds and chickens are fun to watch.

Great Place And Great Service
This is no longer a KOA, now offers Good Sam discount. Great people in the office and the place is very well taken care of. Nice dog run, full timers are in the back area, very safe feeling. Cafe on site with a good breakfast and I believe they are opened for dinner too. Strong recommendation!!

The people here couldn’t be any nicer or friendlier! We have everything we need. Clean bathrooms, locking showers, laundry facilities, even a little cafe right here on site. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice overnight stay
Very friendly staff. Check in was quick.
On site café served a nice dinner at reasonable price. My pet peeve is to have hot food served hot and ours was perfect... (nice job Karen and Brian)
Camp is about 1/4 mile south of I-10. No road noise to speak of. Great nights sleep. All sites are pull through so set up was easy.

Great People, Great Park
Stayed at this former KOA, now a Good Sam park based on the number of positive reviews. It was just as nice as the reviews suggested it would be. Nice on-site restaurant, spotless bathrooms and laundry (newer laundry machines), decent spacing and landscaping too.
Very close to I-10 yet zero road noise from interstate due to topography.
Park was at about 50% capacity and staff spaced out the guests so that no one had any real close neighbors, a thoughtful touch.
100% of the staff we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, polite!
This place *is* a gem, we will be back.

RV Comfort
We were surprised to find this gem of an RV park outside Guadalupe National Park in Van Horn. The staff went out of the way to help us out and make us feel comfortable in their rv park. In fact, we plan to come back here on the way from excursions out west this spring. I would stay here in an instance without any hesitation. The park has beautiful stars at night with a sweet smell of the desert too.

Good For Overnight
Called in advance, and arrived after a big monsoon storm. Decent amount of standing water, but manageable. Fairly level, good sized spots. After check in, upon walking to the exit, the host advised he had forgotten to inform me of the water issues-- The city had experienced a water main break and high levels of particulates were present in the water and boiling before use was suggested. He handed me a jug of drinking water and basically said flush your tanks good at the next stop if you hook up!! Luckily we had some in our holding tank to get by through the night. A little frustrated that this was not disclosed over the phone and ALMOST not disclosed at all! The overall maintenance of the park is good, definitely on the older side. What saved this park from a lesser rating was the on-sight fishing pond. It's really beautiful and worth the walk to the back of the park. Don't miss it, but wear insect repellent!

Amazing Owners
This is a great and clean campground with very caring owners. I called ahead for a spot and Michael gave us a spacious and treed spot that was very scenic. I made a big mistake and left my surge protector plugged in when we left and didn't realize it until we were 400 miles away. I called Michael, he went out to our site to retrieve it, then took it to the post office and mailed it to me at his expense. Said I could send him a check when we got back home. They really care about their park and their visitors. Give it a try!

Away From Traffic Noise
Elderly ex-KOA now Good Sam. A gem in the desert. Water, power and cable tv best we've had in 7 weeks on road. They have a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch but we dined in our little motorhome.
Bathrooms and laundry are old but clean. We didn't use either.
We stayed here twice and would stay again.
