Nice Campground

Beautiful camping sites. Fairly level pull through sites. Nicely cared for grounds. But on the down side is the office building, is very poorly taken care of. Junky. Kids toys laying all around. Bathrooms are ok. Discount rate has gone up to $30 now. No one around, chose our site and left money in an provided envelope by the door.

Clean Park

Nice clean park. Gravel pull through sites. Fairly level. Right off Hwy 281. Only stayed one night. They advertise Veteran discount but it is $28.00 for everyone.

Discount for Veterans

Easy maneuvering for a big rig. Level gravel parking, functional utilities. A safe place to stay for overnight or a few days to see the town of Mineral Wells. Not much in town to excite a tourist except to look at the huge abandoned hotel and ponder its history. Maybe take a drive through the once very active Ft Wolters Primary Helicopter Training Base to satisfy nostalgia if you are one of the former helicopter pilots like me.
