The lake is beautiful with many birds & a great Nature Center. Outside of Fox Squirrel & Flying Squirrel campgrounds is an asphalt walking trail that winds through the woods, & a non-paved trail that has gorgeous views of the lake, a swimming pool, nice playground, etc. Good for kids. Flying Squirrel Campground is right by a noisy highway with only a few shared water spickets for everyone so bring a long hose. There is a restaurant & Dispensary right across the street; the weekend nights were noisy. The showers/restrooms are located in Fox Squirrel, a short walk away. Only one men's & one women's shower, and 2 toilets each. The showers are not very private. They are old but clean. Fox Squirrel has full hookups and was a very clean campground. Shady Grove campground was extremely run down & the spots were packed together. Blue Jay Knob was the nicest of the campgrounds but there are no trails nearby. Each spot has water/elec, more privacy, wooded. It sits on top of a very steep hill.
