Nice Little Place
Nice little park that has about 10 full hook up sites and four dry spots...all near a stocked little pond that is popular with local anglers. There is also a small athletic field and playground. It is about 9 minutes north of Socorro but doesn't feel so as it is tucked back in the hills. Nice family friendly spot. I-25 Exit 152. Do NOT arrive after dark or you will have a VERY hard time finding the place!! You can reserve and pay for sites online.

$18
Small But Nice Bare Bones Park
A dozen full hookup and w/e spots for $18. Several other dry caming spots $10. Adjacent to a small fishing lake. Close to RR tracks, but only 2 trains all night. "Iron Ranger" was vandalized, so payment was only possible thru Socorrow County reservation system.
Note: unless you're fond of running several miles of dirt roads and traversing rwo levees, be sure to choose access via NM 408.

Our Quiet Spot
We live in Socorro and hear the train constantly. However the tracks run right beside this park, we dont hear it as much as at home so we camp weekends here when we want the quiet without driving for hours on a Friday after work.
