Great Little Campground
Small, quiet campground away from the road and the crowds. I came for one day and stayed for 14. Lots of hiking: Lost Lake, Garnet Hill Loop, Tower Falls and up the Yellowstone River, Hellroaring Creek, Slough Creek, Specimen Ridge, etc. No bikeriding: no trails and roads unsafe for bikes. Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Pit toilets were serviced daily by Park employees. Sites are small: small class C's, B's, and renters only, class A's and 5ers won't fit. A good place to basecamp for seeing wolf, bison, and bears in Lamar Valley. Water available, no electric or dump, and no generators allowed (yay!).
