One Of The Best State Parks Anywhere

Just one of the best parks ever. Clean, well run and lots of activities for the entire family. We hated they closed the restaurant. Been coming here for 40 years and cannot say enough about it. Oh but no sewer but there is a station at the entrance to dump and clean. Bring plenty of water, kayaks, bikes and boots!

Pretty and clean, but no privacy

Stayed at Camp Burson. Very pretty area with a nice loop trail around lake that sits above campground. Sites are tight together in a grid but fortunately only 10% occupied so was nice. Great for big rigs with lots of pull thru sites (although road getting into park from highway was narrow with tight curves in spots)

Friendly And Helpful

Due to traffic we arrived at dark and as they were closing. Two of the staff guided us to our campsite, helped us Park our camper and set it up. Way beyond the call of duty. The campground is immaculate and the bathhouses are as well. Individual shower rooms. We will definitely be coming back here.
