Very friendly quiet campground. Went Labor Day weekend not knowing what to expect having never camped here before. Site was level made up of grass and sand. Had lots of shade from the pine trees. Bath houses were nothing to brag over but were clean every time I went in. Nice beach area down by the river. For the price I was happy. Took a day trip to Tappahannock, which was only 35 min away. Would highly recommend visiting the 3 story antique mall in Tappahannock, highlight of the trip. My only complaint was their wasn’t much for my almost 4 year old to do besides the small play ground and little beach area. All in all we had a nice quiet time!

Memorial Weekend

Great campground with lots of nice & friendly people who have permanent campers. There are playgrounds &, water side for kids. A nice beach with swim area and boat launch for boating on Mattaponi river.
