Mostly Great
Really busy on the weekends, pretty empty in between. Lots of seasonal sites set up but no one there. Some of the seasonal sites are not well maintained, makes it kind of junky. There was no T Mobile signal in camp, and our TV antenna picked up no channels, so this is a good place to unplug. When it rains there's lots of mud and swampy areas in and around the camp sites. Water had an odd odor taste and smell. Beautiful location on the river, kayaking was great. Swimming pool, mini golf, giant chess set, pickle ball, a lot of activities. The store has great ice cream, too.

Views on the river
Stayed here for 4 nights as part of our Thousand Trails membership. Full hookups but only 30amp power. We got a great site A49 by the river. Nobody was staying in the cabins next to us and we only had 1 other camper near us. The campground is a typical Thousand Trails park. You drive around until you find a spot and then let them know where you parked. The roads are mostly dirt except for the main entry road. So in the rain (it rained 3 days while we were there) it can get a bit muddy. But we still rode our bikes around and found a fun trail back in the woods. The closest Walmart is about 25 minutes away although there is a Food Lion about 15 minutes away. The resort is divided into sections (A, B, C, D, E, etc.) and only a few of the sections are full 50amp hookups. The rest are 30amp, water, sewer. Unfortunately the best sites along the river are all 30amp. We still opted for a smaller 30amp site just for the views.

Used To Be
This park was our favorite for years, but two things happened: seasonal sites took all the choice sites long the river and lake and non-members were allowed in. There are only a limited number of spaces available, if any, when you old like a few weeks away from home. If I rated this campground now it would go from 5 stars to 3. The location, staff, and amenities are great.

Nice But Not All Amenities
Great and beautiful place however the adult spa is not open as advertised. The Sunday morning breakfast did not stay open till 11 am as advertised. Great place to take the kids.

NICE! Definitely Coming Back Here!
This park is beautiful and well kept. Lots of variation in different types of sites.. accommodations for all types of campers. Adult pool area very nice and very clean! Dock for fishing and launching boats. Great places to ride your bikes, beautiful horseshoe pits and wonderful people! Indoor hot tub, really nice adult game room with puzzles and card tables, extraordinary large picnic area at the lodge where you could actually have a small wedding... Plenty to do or plenty to NOT do! I would highly recommend this for families or couples. Oh, don't forget to get ice cream! One scoop weighed about half a pound! It was wonderful!! And extremely nice people work here.

Nice, but basic
Dirt /gravel spaces, some sites have grassy areas. $3 charge for 50 amp. They allow 30 amp users to use 50 amp sites without this surcharge, which limits the availability of 50 A sites.

One of the best TT's we've been at. Pool, beach on the river (low tide), boating/docks, boat parking, great amenities (all newer), kids game room, large campground
