Nice state park campground. It could use some maintenance here and there. Stayed in site 31, and had a hard time getting our 23' travel trailer on the pad. Septic was a little wonky too. Would definately come back but to a different site.

Wonderful Weekend
Park is quiet and clean. Only problem we had was that the sewer access is higher than the pad for the RV. We had to do the "wave" with the sewer hose to get it to drain. Site #44 was the site in question. Other than that the tree over the coach provided shade but the weekend was cloudy anyway so we didn't have a problem with too much sun.

Nice Quiet Park
Reservation site was down so we showed up and they gave us our choice of several sites. We did have to trim two small branches that would have rubbed on the coach but other than that it was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice State Park
This is a very busy state park in South Texas just north of Corpus Christi. It has plenty of restroom facilities and two fishing piers. In Texas you can fish from within a state park without a fishing liscense even if you are from another state! Lots of tent sites on the waterfront, but the RV sites are not. But close, just a short walk. Prices are very reasonable and staff very friendly.

Very Nice Park
RV pads are level, easy pull through sites. We wish it had a playground for kids.

Nice Quick Trip
We live In Corpus Christi and this state park is about an hour drive. We were there over Veterans weekend and the park was fairly empty. The full hookup sites are spaced well enough to where you aren't on top of your neighbor.
There were lots of fire ant and large mounds. We took our two dogs and at the sites the stickers weren't bad but close to the water and along the roads. The electric and water only sites looked like they had views of the lake but only 1-2 of the full hookups had them.
I would recommend taking the drive out there, especially if you want to avoid busy holiday traffic.
