Used to be a State Park. Now a State historical site. Rv pads are good. Good hookup pedestals. A fork of the Brazos river runs through the park. Watch the weather in spring and summer. The river gets high when it rains a lot. Great place to take kids. Fort Griffin just across the highway. You can spend a day at the fort ruins and check out the old town of Ft. Griffin just north of the fort.

Camping In History
Wonderful campground. Level, easy to access sites for all size RVs. Shade trees, with picnic tables, fire ring & campfire grill. Very well maintained walking trails. Nice bath facilities. Quiet & peaceful. Tent camping available. Take time to visit the Visitor Center & take the self guided tour using the available golf carts. See Texas fort history as it was hundreds of years ago.
