Beautiful campground with great hiking trails. Even had a paved trail. Bathhouse was nice and clean our entire visit. All sites are paved and level. Walmart near by to pickup forgotten items you may need. We stayed 4 nights and will be back.

Wasted Our Time

We made reservations for a site that was supposed to be big enough for us but we had to park our 35' TT at an angle to fit in... very tight! After getting disconnected... We realized that the power box was on the opposite side of the RV and waaaaay too far to reach with any standard power supply cord. We wasted our time driving here only to have to scramble to find another place. We were thankful to find Clearwater rv resort just a few miles out of Lynchburg and it was really really nice! The only reason I'm giving it 2 Stars is because the work camper's were really nice and tried to help us with the situation even looking at 3 other empty sites that were all the same..no power supply!

Beautiful Park

We arrived a couple of hours before the check in time. The Ranger had our site ready and told us to go ahead and pull in. Plenty of room between sites, clean bathrooms and showers, great service and friendly neighbors made for a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back.

Nice Stay

Stayed for a few nights in july. Beautiful well maintained park. The best state park we have ever stayed at. The sites were large, wooded, and shaded. They had a fire pit and picnic table with electric and water hook up. There were gorgeous walking trails all over the park. 20 minutes to Lynchburg. The bathrooms were clean. No laundry room. Only negative were the narrow roads to navigate with the rv.

BEST Customer SERVICE EVER

Park was full. CS Rep called Winchester City Park and got a site. Then mapped to route to get there. THANK YOU to nice lady at Tim's Ford.

Very Nice

Great park. Nice bath houses. It had rained recently and there was a film of mud that had washed over lots of the pavement. Made it slick and got tracked in the camper.

Great paved bike trails

Bathhouses need work and are not the cleanest. Trying to put in Wi-Fi last time we were there. Best feature is by far the bike trails, up and down crazy hills. Family friendly with nice playground in the middle. Lake access and beautiful scenery and sites are spacious and somewhat private.

Nice but Dated

Narrow crooked roads to get to park. Old bath houses in poor condition. Nice campsites though and paved trails are a big plus. Main campground is open year round.
