We Wanted The Pool

Disappointed that the pool was not open..advertised as open..page should be updated so that guests have this info before booking. (Construction has been ongoing for more than 6 months).

Had a great visit

We stayed here the first week of June. Very clean, very pretty-especially along the river if you can get a site. Staff is friendly and eager to help. Nightly activities for the kiddos, pool is nothing special but clean and spacious. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend.

We Will Be Back

Recently spent 2 nights here. Wonderful little campground. Right on the river, peaceful. Don and the other people who work there were very nice and helpful.

Great Time

Stayed many times in Townsend as well as pigeon forge love townsend for the relaxed pace and lack of crowds close to wears vally and cades cove and river tubing. First time at this koa as we needed a cabin having sold our 5 th wheel. Campground is great staff was super friendly and helpful anything you needed was quickly brought to you. Cabin was clean little small no sofa to sit on but had patio and fire pit and gas grill and pet friendly ($25). Would like to have had some dishes and silverware was not aware was not supplied. Thought it could have been $20/25 less a night but all cabins were full each night so they get what they can. Will definitely stay here again hopefully will have a small something next time. Would have rated a 5 but had to go into marysville Walmart for dishes and utensils.

Very Nice facilities

Campsite hard to get into but very nice, full hookups with cable TV. Concrete patio with table and 4 chairs, firepit, site is much nicer than expected. Price is kind of high but they don't charge extra for visitors or grandchildren staying with us. Nice playground and store on the premises that has firewood, ice and other necessities. Excellent staff, obviously well trained, well managed. Place was relatively quiet at night, we were lucky to have great neighbors, dumpster was close and staff picks up trash at your site. One day I bought firewood and they delivered it to my site, very nice touch. They have wifi, pool and other features close by. The KOA is 7 miles from Cades Cove so great location to the great smokies park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge TN were a short drive away.

Great campground and wonderful hosts. They helped move us when the weather turned bad. Very well maintained. We’ll definitely come back.

Nice Campground

Nice campground, very tight sites. We booked premium and it's was TIGHT !! I prefer more room between sites. Very clean, friendly. Good location.

Very good location. Extremely friendly staff. Close together sites, w/full hookup. Wifi was iffy. A bit pricey @ 72.00 night. Clean bathhouses. Close to Cade's Cove, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge.

The sites in the center of campground are very nice however if you cannot get one of those sites it will be very cramped. It is on the river and has a nice pool but the staff can be pretty rude at times. There are better choices in Townsend.
