Off Season Camping, October
Beautiful and quiet, about 20 minutes from Mt. Rushmore. Pit toilets, and trash is pack in, pack out. Good spot for a base camp. Only one loop open during off season. Nearest dump station is Rapid City or Deadwood.

Could Use Some Maintenance
Quiet park with well spaced and well shaded sites. Plenty of sites are uneven and a tight fit for a back-in situation. Vault toilets. No water or dump station. I know there are camp hosts at the various loops but we did not see any evidence of ours. It's clearly been some time since this campground has seen any investment.

Central Location For Sightseeing
No services. Including cell service. But for $10 a night, who cares! This location is perfect to stay for sightseeing. Close to Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Custer. The list goes on and on. The lake is so gorgeous. All around a wonderful stay.

If your looking for views this is the spot! We camped right on the point. It was beautiful! Did have someone waterskiing with the music blaring and lights shining the last night about 2:00am! But otherwise it was beautiful.

Lovely Spot
Even with pit only toilets, this was a beautiful camping experience. Lots of trees to hang hammocks. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Nice central location for exploring the Black Hills.

Gorgeous Campsite
We stayed here for 4 days. Gorgeous site, trails straight to the lake, our kids had many fishing ventures, fire pits were awesome, site was very tidy, great tree coverage, toilets were very clean, spacious sites & great hosts! Short driving distance to all must see areas in SD but far enough away to get away of the hustle and noise of everyone else vacationing. We will definitely be back!

Very Nice
This is what a campground should be. Nice sites, wooded, not crowded, with views of the lake.

Awesome Campground
Sites were well maintained and easy to move a camper in or out. The lake is amazing and easy to access.
