Great Place For Birding!

We put out bird feeders and were amazed with the number of colorful birds in the park. We saw Baltimore Orioles, Goldfinch, Red-headed woodpeckers, Blue Jay's, Cardinals, Meadow Larks, and more! Even hummingbirds. The campground staff were great and the facilities were awesome!

Excellent Park!

Don't listen to that naysayer about it being closed. It was closed in April 2020 like every other campground in the USA due to COVID19. Yes, there is some construction going on for more sites to have full hook-ups. Anyhow, staff is great, grounds are well kept, shower/bathrooms clean and the Lake offers many fun activities. We saw a ton of wildlife in the park and area. Great for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming and biking. I highly recommend this park!

Not Open...

This is a dated park. It is not open in April because I was there on April 5th and the facilities were locked up tight. Found a note at the entrance that said it might open "sometime in April"? Water was off, and there was major repair work being performed. Not very considerate, it should be open if its published open in April. Wasted drive to find it closed. 0 Stars...

Friendly Campground!

Did some tent camping here this past weekend September 29th,2016 with a first time camper.close restrooms,picnic table and fire ring,clean flush toilets and fairly nice shower...my 4 year old first time camper had a blast at the playground,walking the lake,and the hiking trails!most definitely will return and remember to call ahead for a spot...packed house the night we stayed! Thanks Ohio State Parks for the hospitality!
