This is a beautiful campground with a two mile outstanding paved concrete trail that borders a lake and is shaded most of the way. Also accepts the 1/2 price old folks national pass. Great value! But a HUGE DOWNSIDE - the railroad tracks are only a couple hundred feet from the campsites. At least 4 trains came through last night blowing their whistle always by the crossing at campground entrance. If a good night sleep is what you’re looking for you’re not going to get it here. Too bad because it’s such a nice campground.

What a great place! If you are not into crowds and like to be close to a descent size town. This quiet clean park may be for you. The upside as are it is clean, quiet, cheap and less then an hour from both units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The only down sides are no sewer hookups, just water and electric, but they do have a dump station, oh and you will hear a train pass even at night once in awhile. I was raised in a campgrounds, that my family owned so I can be discriminating. This is my third time at this little gem.

$14
Parks Next To Campground Amazing!
$14 after 50% senior discount. Park is very level and flat. All sites are exactly the same with shrubs between sites. Gravel is only about 35 ft deep for each but large grassy area behind each, but no shrubbery there. Railroad tracks are right behind sites and the tracks are rather active with several loud trains each night. Amazing 2 miles of 10 ft wide winding cement walking/biking trail in park that connects to the campground with many views of the lake. Beautiful place. Would stop again. It was after Labor Day so self service station that could be easier to find.
