Nice place. Clean bathrooms. 25 for tents, up to 45 for full hookups. 4 miles off 40 west. Pet friendly.

Traveling with 3 other families camping together. We booked 6 months in advance, 50 amp, full hook up, sites all together, paid in advance. Arrived to find out they gave our site away! They offered us 30 amp, water and electric only. Said it was a premimum site, and only site open. Not sure what was premium about it. Another camper less than 3 feet away from us, 30 amp, water and electric, back in site. Next family of campers with us arrived. Assigned to site 3 down from us. Not full hook up either, even though we all paid for it! the electric didn’t work on their site- office said use the next one over- which would have been the other camper family joining us. 3rd camping family arrived and were escorted to another site further away from us. They got full hook up, 50 amp-BUT the camper next to them had 2 bathrooms and was using theirs and our other camping families dump site on their site, so they couldn’t connect in. No WiFi, laundry and restrooms pad locked. Dirty

A Nice Stop

A little off the path nestled in the hills. We had a the best lot (site 36). 36-40 are all pretty great spots with some grassy area behind you. Friendly staff.

Reasonable price!- interesting and nice park to walk around !! Lots of trees - not too far of the beaten path but far enough your not hearing traffic all night- felt safe—Sweet lady running the park, super helpful!! Will stay here again

Nice, No Frills

Pros: Nice, no frills park. Easy access to Albuquerque, Route 66, and Turquoise Trail sight seeing. Nice to be in country rather than in city. Cons: buddy hookup poles so you are face to face with neighbor- limits privacy. Disappointed park closed laundry due to Covid-19 when could have mounted can of sanitizer wipes to clean before using.

Horrible Loud, Crazy People! No Security

One of the worst camping experiences ever. Night one was peaceful. Then night 2 was straight out of a horror movie. Obnoxious Riff Raff Drunks came in late and kept us wide awake until 1:30 AM, we had to unpack out tent in the middle of the night and flee the campsite. There was no security or number to call in case anything happened. Close to the site where 3 teenagers were murdered a few decades ago. So without security or emergency number to call, you will be dealing with any sort of weirdos that invade the campsite without warning. Place advertises WiFi and laundry facilities and once you get there, it’s the classic bait and switch. No working WiFi and no laundry. Coyotes roam the campsite at night so be on guard. I can’t recommend this palace based upon our horrendous experience here.

This Is Roughing It

Unleveled campground.some campers look like their tipping over. Water hookup was in a spiders nest underground. Still trying to figure out how to use the shower. Im having the mm to disconnect my water line. Too dangerous for my hands to touch the spiders web. $29 you get what you pay for

Amazing RV Park

We stayed here on our way back to Texas for one night. When I called the owner was very helpful and upgraded us for free to a full hook up site. The next morning we were in a rush to get on the road and forgot our newly purchased surge protector. I called and without hesitation they shipped it back to me. People are honest and caring, campsite was perfect the way they have them set up I didn’t have to see my neighbors septic hose, and it was quite. We will definitely be back to this campground.

Perfect Location And Campground

Campground was awesome and the employees were great! A total family experience from the environment to the close proximity of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We feel in love with New Mexico here; we will unquestionably be back and recommend to friends and family.

Super Quiet

Interesting entrance, all gravel but no problems for my 22' or for the several big rigs that were there. Several pull-throughs sites that are fairly level and big enough to handle a 40' rig. Reasonable prices based on what you want. 30 amp, water, and sewer cost $29.70 taxes included. Owners are really friendly and helpful. Best part was the quiet. No noise! Stars are bright! Will stay there again and I highly recommend it.

Great Place

I stayed there for 3 or 4 days this last summer and it was great! Quiet very friendly beautiful views and really close to Albuquerque

Stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Though the park was full, everyone we met was nice especially the owner. She was pleasant and accommodating. The park is older and not owned by some mega conglomerate so the facilities would be what you would expect but serve their purpose. BTW space #36, where we stayed, was apparently where Ozzy Osborne and his son stayed during the filming of one of their reality show episodes. It is definitely worth a re-visit.

Exactly what we needed!!

Perfect for us! The staff and owner are so friendly and accommodating. Debra, Emily and Sherry did all they could to make our stay amazing! I really can't say enough about the location and it's simple amenities. It was so nostalgic and reminded me of the places we would stay as kids in the 80's. I loved it! Two of the full timers we met there, Leonard and Howard, the stories they told and the places they've been... wonderful! It is 30 minutes from ABQ and all it has to offer (great zoo, arboretum and aquarium...train connects all three if ticket is purchased before noon). And the Sandia Crest is just minutes away. $3 gets you unlimited access to all the trails and Day use areas on the route up. Tinkertown is a gem! You could spend half a day there and still miss something! If simplicity, the basic necessities, friendly folks and starry nights sound like your kind of camping then the Turquoise Trail Campground and RV Park is for you! Thanks ladies!!

Decent place to Camp

Review for primative camping. This is a decent place to camp and is close to hiking trails (about 10 minute drive), but all have to driven to. Nice views. A bit pricy for what you get. $20 pe r night for tent camping. 5 min shower with luke warm water (only 1 out of 2 showers working). Wifi wasnt working (I dont care, just mentioning). Nothing really "on site" to offer i.e. no trails, group activities, etc. Ok place to stay for quick camping trip. They need to drop the price.

If You Like Rustic...

So yeah...I read a lot of reviews on this place and it didn't turn out to be what I expected. It is a rustic ol campground on the side of a mountain with nice views but that's about the extent of the niceness. The lots are small and very close to eachother. The sewage system here isn't the best as you have a constant smell of "it" around the campground. We pulled in and were super happy there were showers seeing we haven't really figured out our trailer's shower and keeping water from getting everywhere. Unfortunately, the showers were a let down. You get a token for a five minute wash in a stall meant for the short and skinny. If you don't mind mildew, mildly warm water, and aren't arachnophobic or care about showering right next to someone taking a thumper dumper then you'll like this shower. There are permanent campers here but in a park that has tons of reminders about saving water and no wood fires, these folks have hot tubs and fire rings.

Loved The Park

Karen and I stayed 5 nights. Very well maintained and quiet park. The only drawback was water pressure, don't need a regulator, had to take mine off which was ok. All the ladies in the office and the owner were just awesome. Price was reasonable as well. We had no problem with Wi-Fi or TV but we used our Satellite. We had a great corner sure that we will try and get next time we are in the Albequrque area. HIGHLY recommend this park

Nice Park.

This park is outside of ABQ in the Tijeras area. Very quiet park. Nice people running office. Bathrooms are older but clean. Token style showers although we didn't use them since we were in an RV. Many tent spots. Park has many permanent residents & was full most nights. No TV or wifi service at all due to mountains. Stayed 4 nights & enjoyed our stay. Wish they had a laundry on site. Grocery, bank hardware store & urgent care within a couple miles. Also coffee shop, restaurant & small brewery.
