Quiet, close to park and ferries, and mass transit to the city. Clean friendly. My only complaint would be the cost

Horrible place!! Unfriendly staff, overpriced, uneven gravel patches. It’s basically a parking lot.

Overall Good Campground
If you are looking for a good campground near NYC, then check out Liberty Harbor RV park. It had great service. But I am sad we only got to stay for 1 day. But I still liked it and i even got a view of the One World Trade Center!

Awesome Experience
We stayed in C19 Dec 8th-14th 2019. Site was long enough to park our 43 ft coach with our Jeep in front. 50 amp worked great...water turned off this time of year...site was very level. We just drove over to dump and fresh water mid week. Used the laundry....worked great....didn’t use the bathrooms. Only used the ferry once...Prefered the Path train over to NYC and then the Subway around NYC. Park is not busy this time of year...so a great experience....just keep an eye on the weather. Also, follow the directions coming in on the website and then leaving just reverse.

Best Place To Stay In New York
We were a little skeptical based on reviews however, upon arrival we knew what we were in for. What we did not know was the spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty at night that was just a few steps away. Yes it is basically a parking lot but there is a guard at the gate 24hrs a day and the staff was all friendly and helpful. I have been to New York many times and stayed in Queens, Chelsea, mid-town and Harlem and nothing beats being able to sleep in your own bed. The path is close by and the surrounding restaurants were great. All our friends thought we were nuts to pull our rig into NY to stay but when they found out how little we paid instead of the hotel and air Bnb prices they are considering it themselves. We plan on coming back yearly

Do Not Forget To Sign Out
We stayed four days this year and if you realize that it is basically a parking lot. Water and electric and one dump station. It is very convenient to go to NYC. When we got to the dump station someone finish and then just sat there. Had to walk up and asked them to move. So after we dump I just wanted to get out of there and forgot to stop at the office. Next day I saw they charged me the 40 dollars as stated in small print in the confirmation email for not checking out. I called, but said it was policy and that was it. We have stopped there for years, but after paying 440 plus fo the 4 nights the 40 put us over the top.

Our Stay
We arrived 10/2/19 and stayed three nights. It is a parking lot but served it purpose well. Office staff was great! Easy 5 block walk to subway into NYC and the WTC. Went to the 9/11 museum and memorial. It did bring tears but am so glad I paid a visit. NEVER FORGET. Only thing missing is a sewer hookup. Would go back.

Parking Only
We used this to park our RV for 2 nights. Close to subway to get to NYC. We would not have spent the night here in the RV. We just used for dry parking and although it’s expensive - we wouldn’t have expected much else considering the area

Perfect location!
After reading reviews I didn’t know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! It is basically a parking lot. Sites are very close together. But it was exactly what we needed for our time in NYC! It has very close access to a ferry. The showers and bathrooms were nice. There was 24 hr. security and the staff was friendly. If I could talk my husband into going back to that area we would definitely stay here again.

Great Location!
Read the reviews and decided to stay here for about a week. The proximity to NYC was incredible, the ferry to manhattan is a short walk and the path station about 10 minutes away. The lot is staffed with a 24hr security guard that walks around the park periodically to check on things which is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Grocery stores are a quick five minute drive and a drugstore is within a five minute walk. Went to several restaurants in the immediate area and all were yum. Bathrooms and laundry were adequate and better than I expected. Have stayed in NY in hotels, air bnbs, and we would much rather bring our own “home away from home “ and enjoy the view at night of The Statue of Liberty all lit up in the harbor and the quiet marina setting. We will be back again.

Super Location, Nice “campground”.
It is a parking lot, with water and power, that is adjacent to a working boat yard. Not too glamorous but super convenient to NYC. Lot is level, staff is very nice, including the security guard that is there at night. Local restaurants are close, plentiful and very good. Bathrooms could use some updating but are clean. The proximity to attractions nearby cannot be understated, it really is a great location.
Construction that other reviews mention seems mostly done. Very quiet at night.

Did a “drive by” before booking, kept on driving, just a parking lot

Closest To NYC That You Will Find
I will be honest, campy ground isn’t great. It’s basically a big parking lot with hook ups. The dump station was tiny and there was a lot of water that didn’t go into the drain. I’m sure it wasn’t just “water” but we will say it is. Bathrooms are on far corner of campsite and you have to have the passcode to get in. Bathrooms weren’t clean, still better than a porter potty though! Not much grass for an animal to do their business, patches of it here and there.
Restaurant-surf city that is in the same parking lot. Looks like a dump from the outside but has amazing views, sand area and great food!
You must take PATH to get to NYC. Takes about 10-15 min to walk to the area. There is no parking anywhere, be ready to leave your car at the campsite and walk. ALOT!
Only place that is close to NY, so if we go back then I will stay again.

Great To Visit New York
If your looking for a great park to stay at and relax, this may not be the park for you. If you want a nice place to stay to visit New York this is a great place to stay. Easy walk to the PATH train to get into the city. Friendly staff and great security so you feel safe. Would happily stay again.

I completely understood what I would find when we arrived. It was easy to get to. The location is great. The bathrooms are clean. We will return.

Three Nights
The location and ferry and train transportation makes this a great place to stay. It is extremely close to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and a short ferry or train ride to the World Trade buildings and memorial. You stay packed in to each other in a parking lot. Or, you can opt for a much cheaper spot in the adjoining boat yard without any hookups. That's what we did and had nobody within shouting distance. Being self contained and having a generator and using their dump and showers worked well for us. We were there June 2017.

Best RV Spot For NYC
Experience inner city with the best views, Lady Liberty to the South, New York City Financial District /Lower Manhattan to the East. Several ferry piers nearby to travel across Hudson River to NYC. Several vessel filled marinas on water sides.
Booked online early to get a good spot. Skyrise construction and road development right next to camp was tricky but not a problem.
We were not there during day time to hear the noise, yet was very quiet at night with security at gate.
Needed a security gcode for showers/RR, there was a laundry and dish wash area.
I researched for RV camping for NYC travel, Liberty Harbor was closest and best rate for the location.
I recommend this for all RV travelers that want to experience NYC, but don't want to pay high tolls, high cost hotels, inner city parking and not be too far from camp.
We had a very good experience and trip from Liberty Harbor RV Park...10/2016.

Some what disappointed in the view. Thought I would see the New York sky line , some one built apartment buildings ( 5 ) that now have the perfect view . Also the ferry to the Statue of Liberty doesn't run from here and the restruant they advertise closed for the season last week. But we are still paying the full fare.!

The park was very easy to get to despite the construction going on around it. We stayed in the Dry Camp area since we are self contained. Nothing to write home about but it's ALL ABOUT LOCATION! Right on the harbor!
I could see the Statue of Liberty from our site. Staff was EXCELLENT!
Felt totally safe night and day. Office lady, Kimberly was very knowledgeable about everything!
Thanks for a great weekend!

Very very expensive. Noisy. Customer care very bad. The road to it is under construction and it is very problematic getting there driving your RV. We got there around 4:00 they charged me extra day. Each time you need to empty your tanks you have to drive it to a single spot used by all RVs. If there was a zero rating I would use it
