Great Night Stop Spot
At $10 it's a great spot. They are looking at improving the spots leveling and switching the bathrooms to pit toilets and in reading fee to $20. I'm not in favor of these changes!

Very Nice
Stopped for a night on way to Great Basin National Park. Small but very picturesque. A few drive throughs. Water and bathroom, non-flush, available. $10 a night, half that with a senior discount. Cool in the mornings and evenings. Hunting season open, so weekends are full.

Nice Forest Service campground. Park Advisor and FS website show it open through October. So we were disappointed finding it closed when we arrived on October 19. There is some dispersed camping at the entrance so stayed there. It worked out ok for our F150 and R-Pod combo.

Bob Scott Campground
This is right along Highway 50 but since there is very little traffic the noise is not a problem. We parked here easily with our 32 ft motor home. Another review said no higher than 20 something but that is not right. It is a small campground. Not a lot of spaces. The views are beautiful! There are flush toilets. No water or dump. We parked free with the Senior Pass. Otherwise $10. Self pay. There are some great hiking places surrounding the campground. Lots of wildflowers. We loved it! The little town of Austin is close by. There are just two good restaurants there. One closes early in the day. Silver State, where we ate was very nice. They had good pizza. Two other restaurants I would not step foot in! Gas in Austin is high!

Close To Highway
Small and clean, right off the highway outside of Austin. Sites no bigger than 25' or so. No hookups, restrooms and trash available. $10 per night. Wrote this same review on another spot mismarked as this campground above Austin.

Great stop for the night, they where closed. But felt safer than the side of the road.
