Decent Park
If you fish this is the place to be in the area. Weekend had a lot of locals set up with their neighbors and kids.
The sites are all level, with small rock. The road in and out is crushed rock and very dusty when there’s no rain.
Water is near site 13; you just pull up and fill. We were there for several days and the only time there was a line to fill were Friday and Saturday.
They have a huge kids playground and have added six cabins on the end near the highway.
Contrary to what many have said, there is a dump site. It’s across the lake on the side near the airport. Easy in and out. Dump is not on the CG site due to regs.
You can walk or bike to the other side on the path through the lake.

Full Timer
They have a dump site but it is on the opposite side of the lake from the RV park. Go figure? Electric only at the site. I have only found one hydrant to fill my water with. Usually full on weekends. Lots of fishing. All the sites that used to be grass are now gravel and frsh gravel on the road makes it really dusty. Ranger was really helpful on arrival. For 2020 You have to buy a pass for the Lower Platte North NRD $25 if your not in the district. This is not for the state just the parks in this district. Plus $19 a night makes it pricy for a short term stay. It was one of the only places in the Omaha area open during the pandemic.

Nice Camp
This is a nice quiet camp at site 28. There is no shade, but they have planted trees by each camp site, so hopefully in a few years there will be nice shade.
There is a concrete walkway all the way out to the dock. You can fish all along the walkway and there is plenty of handicap parking in that area.
There is a really nice playground for the kids. It is also handicap accessible and the ground is padded with rubber chips.
There is a shower house right across from the playground. A change machine is located out front if you don't have quarters.
There is a dump station now and water pumps to fill your fresh water tanks. Nice views of the lake from camp site.

Lower Platte North NRD Director
Lake Wanahoo is owned by Lower Platte Natural Resource District. Lake Wanahoo does now have a dump station. A fish cleaning station is in the works. 73 electric site plus tents. Water hydrants to fill with but no water hookups. 2 playgrounds. Walking and biking trails that hook with Wahoo's system. It has a bird watching area complete with an in use eagle's nest. Lots of migratory waterfowl. The property is a great jumping off place for sightseeing. SAC Air Museum, Schram Aquarium, Omaha Zoo Safari are nearby. Both Lincoln and Omaha have easy fast access from the Lake. The property has boat ramps plus lots of picnic spots and the like. It is relatively new and plenty of trees have been planted for shade in the not too distant future.

If You Want To Go Fishing --
Great place for fishing... Not much to do otherwise not much for shade and no swimming, no dump station either
