The road into camp has been fixed and is pretty good. Not perfect, but I have been down A LOT worse. Sites are big, the water is good. Cell service is spotty with Verizon. I'm not sure about others. It's not a big deal for me, others may want to know. The sewer hookups (10 sites I think?) were in a good spot, and there is a two lane dump station as well. The sewer hook up sites aren't as scenic but still nice. For tripple axle folks, worry not, I have a 41' double axle and had plenty of space around the camp ground. Towns aren't too far away, and for the vets, you have an active air force base about 15 minutes away. I didn't go on base personally but should have.

Bad access road
This park is advertised as "open" according to the Corps web site, but the gate was locked when we arrived in early December, 2013. The county access roads are in bad shape due to what appeared to be an open gravel pit operation nearby and heavy trucking on the roads. If the park ever does open up again, I'd suggest visiting in a small 4x4 before attempting to take a big rig there. Since we did not have the availability to enter the campground, I can't give it a fair evaluation, except others who have camped there have told us it is mosquito heaven in the warm months.
