Denied

My wife and I were denied entry on a Sunday night at 6pm. We were following the signs about self check in and putting the envelope in the payment slot. A security man came by telling us we had to have a reservation made during business hours 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. We noted the sign about self check in but it didn't matter. He called the park manager and they wouldn't even check to see if there was a free slot. They kept addressing their written policy that was not available for me to view. I don't give them any stars, I don't recommend this park, and would recommend that this campground be removed from this app.

Overnight

We had planned to stop in the area for an overnight. Nice little set up-call and reserve your site. Stayed at site 3, only thing I needed was about 75feet of water hose to reach. Electric, water and fairly level sites. They do have a bathroom and showers and a dump station heading out the park.

Happy Camper

Last 2 times I called, they said no sites with sewer hookups. Nice county park though, disc golf. Swimming beach, boat launch, secluded enough you’ll want to have your shopping done before you arrive. The nearest larger grocery store is probably Hardings in Galesburg. Fun place, bring bug spray.
