My wife and I, and another couple, are camping here for the first time. Our party was having a lovely time our first night. It was too warm for a fire, so we lit some citronella candles and place them on the fire ring. We were chatting, sipping our drinks, and listening to some soft music when the young Park Nazi showed up. It was about 11pm and she told us we needed to turn off our music. Keep in mind, only people within a ten foot radius could hear our music. Being respectful of other campers, I always check to make sure you can't hear our music beyond that distance. All other campers were at least 40 feet away. I asked her to show me the regulation where it said that all music had to be shut off at 10pm. She said she didn't have a copy of the regulations on her, so I suggested she come back when she could produce them. Then I told her to leave and stop bothering us. She has yet to return to our site.

Best Mid-Week
We come here often mid-week, and if we choose a site farther from the water, we have felt some privacy. There are lots of families. We are retired, and it is fun people watching. We have rented the park’s canoe and enjoyed the lake.

Stayed here overnight. Never, never again! Sites are paced in too close, tons of people. We didn’t even finish setting up and walked out 2 mini Schnauzers and a Pit Bull being walked by a 7 year old girl attacked and had the dogs rear quarter in its entire mouth! Tons of vet bills and ruining our entire vacation when we were only 4 days into a 7 week trip. Do not stay here!
