Stayed here for quick overnight. Kind of sketchy area but we had no problems. Very nice city park with many activities. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Nice Overnighter

Fine place to stay if you need only electricity and water. There is no sewer or Wi-Fi. Come in on Market from the north and park in the asphalt/dirt lots immediately to your right or left. Do not park in the grass on the south side if it's been raining or you'll get stuck, spoken from experience. Super friendly staff helped get us unstuck. A Park employee patrols all night and will come to your trailer for the $11 but it must be in cash only. If you come in real late and they don't knock on your door you can pay in the morning at the office, still cash only. Will definitely use this hidden little inexpensive stop.

Nice Small Town City Park

Something for everyone. Baseball, softball, kickball keep away (soccer), basketball, tennis, swimming pool, picnic tables and pavilions. Even a high school football stadium. Oh, and bunches of grass campsites scattered around in various sections of the park with an electrical pedestal with two 30 amp outlets and one duplex 20 amp outlet. Also a water pipe with one or two hose bibs. Be prepared to share a pedestal and a hose bib. Section A has 8 level 12' by 40' concrete pads that back up to the left field fence of a lighted adult size softball field. Great place to watch a game or catch a "gofer" ball before it hits your RV. Part of parking lot west of the stadium doubles as RV sites with 50 amp outlets. May have to move during stadium events. Grassy areas get slick and muddy when it rains. Whole park is full of rusty 18 inch high steel pipe fencing which can be very hard to see at night. Park rangers are very nice. Seem to use their vehicles as an office.

South Park

This place is a sweet deal!! $11.00 a night(cash) with electric, 30 amp, and water and 8 concrete pads plus plenty of grass sites with the same set up. Dump by the bathrooms. Park employees drive through often and well lite at night. Close to shopping and a nice laundromat is just down the street. We felt safe here. We are going to explore the area today and see what there is to see. This is a nice place and close to LaFayette LA. We will stay here again!
