A Diamond in the middle of Kansas

If you need a place to overnight or spend a few days in Kansas, you will not be disappointed by this place. It's just a few miles off hwy 70 & I've been sitting here for a few hours & still in disbelief. It's beautiful here on the water. Sites are not all that level, so be prepared. 4 stars is because sites undeveloped, 5☆ for beauty for sure.

Quiet Quiet

Weve been full-time for 5 years. We're dumbfounded how silent it is here. Our refer is the loudest thing we hear. Fantastically quiet this late in the busy summer season.

Great COE Park

Nice campground right at Waters edge. Was pretty windy when we were there. But the campground is well maintained. Double dump station. Multiple areas of camping. Some with just electric. Some with electric and water. Some with no hookups. Multiple playgrounds for children. Friendly and helpful host. If you're traveling through on a weekend get there early on Friday or make a reservation. Locals fill up the sites. Received discount because of senior pass.

Great escape!

What a great escape Wilson Lake is! I especially liked the Lucas area. We were fortunate enough to be there at a slow time as well. I would recommend this area as a great family getaway!
