Beautiful View!
Nice campground within easy walking distance to the town (restaurants and groceries). We would stay here again. Update from July 2024: stayed here again on our way to Colorado from Missouri. It’s even better than before!

We will definitely be back. Great overnight on way to Denver and back. Good Tex-Amex food at Cancun Restaurant too.

A campground has to be pretty special for five stars and this one is not. However, this is a great overnighter that is clean, secure and right off the highway. Town is in walking distance and is charming.

Perfect Overnight Stop W Hookups
Clean and inexpensive stop right off the highway. We came here to avoid severe thunderstorms. Ellis is a quiet and clean little town. Park sits on a small lake and park. Electric and water hookups for &20. Concrete, level pull through spots that can hold a large trailer. Self pay by the restroom. Regarding the comments on the bathrooms, they are run down but didn’t strike me as gross. Old yes, but trash was emptied and it looked like someone cleaned. All in all a good place to stop for the night.

Great little Campground!
Perfect stop along I-70. Peaceful and done right. Self pay and patrolled by city. $20 includes water and electric hookups. Good job, Ellis KS!

Perfect
This is a gem! You can choose between concrete slab or gravel with trees backing up to the river. Fishing was great too! The park was level, clean, roomy! We will def return! There is a quaint little town too !

Ditto to all of the prior reviews. Excellent stop over on our way to the east (left) coast.

Wonderful Place
This is a very peaceful, quiet and well maintained location. Well worth the $20. And if you don’t find a spot under the shade trees there are more sites available across the street.

Great city park RV campground, sketchy bathrooms. Get there early on the weekends to get a full hook up and shady spot.

Very Nice Small City Park
This is a small city park over looking the river. Sites are big pull through but electricity and water is in middle of site to serve 2 sites. Not a big deal if your used to traveling as ....every park has different set ups and some are more of a struggle than others! Be prepared for any situation. Other than that this park is GREAT! Price is right!

Nice Small Town Camping
Traveling through the area and happened to stay on the night of the small town fair. Spots were all gone by 2pm on a Saturday, not certain if that is normal or just for the big event in a small town. Campground electric and water is a bit of a distance but ours reached with no issues. The town is expanding the campground quite a bit so there will be more spots in 2020.

Nice quiet overnight area. Got lucky with only spot open @ 9:00 at night. Everyone was friendly. Didn’t use facilities. Dump station easily accessed by bath house. As other reviews stated, hookups are kinda far from pull thru area. 25’ power cord and water hose still reached at our site. Mosquitoes galore.

My wife and I love staying here when we pass through KS. The only complaint we have is that some of the site's have the electrical and water connections a long distance from the gravel site you park on. Luckily our electrical cord was long enough for our site and we had extra water hose to reach. Some people left because they couldn't reach the electrical box or water spicket. We put this on the review for the city to look into correcting. Otherwise, great price and location.

$20 Gem
Great little park in a lovely little town. Self serve $20 cash or check (RVs - less for tents) for level gravel pull-through with electric and water. Small lake with fish next to all sites. Bathhouse is far from spotless but adequate privacy for showers, and men’s had a wheelchair height shower (uploaded a pic) even. Dump station on back side of bathhouse. Note for winter travelers: open all year; they close bathhouse for cold season and reduce price to $15. 26’ Class C

Transiting Kansas
Found this nice little park on the app and read the very nice reviews. Clearly we picked the wrong night to stay here “4th of July Eve”. Non stop fireworks right outside our rig kept all from enjoying a restful sleep. The park is nice and setting is as well, but a good number of the folks there that night do not observe quiet hours or camping etiquette. Older 30 amp rigs parked in 50 amp slots using 30 amp hook up. Blocking 50 amp rigs from access. We did discover the neat little Train Museum Open on the 4th and the grands were able to ride the little train. Will give this place another try next time we transit from Colorado to KCMO.

Another hidden gem. Love finding these little parks. What a great park. We'll stay here again. If they were full hookups id give it 5 stars.

Great little park
We pulled in late and still found many sites available. We parked, paid the box, and stayed the night. Very quiet, there are NO LONG TERM CAMPERS, which is AMAZING. Great little area in the middle of the incredibly boring drive that is Kansas.

Nicest Campground
We decided to stop because of the reviews we read, and we're not disappointed. It is a beautiful setting, I think every site has a water view, and the shade trees are just awesome. We pulled in at 4:30 and we're able to fund a choice spot. Who would have thought we could find such an oasis in the middle of Kansas. We are going to take some time tomorrow to explore the town and museums.

Passing Through
Saw little green tree on park advisor map. Nothing else around. Reviews good. It was better than good. Great! Had stopped at two KOAs previously paid $40 and internet did not work at either place! Internet was great here and so unexpected. Lovely little park. Cancun restaurant was very good and reasonable. Would stay again!!!

Lovely
This is a beautiful small RV Park with mostly 30 amp and some 50 amp sites. Gravel pads with neatly mowed grass between. Drive thru and RVs face a little, pretty lake. Bath house on site. Just off of I-70. Turn east on 8th st.

Great spot, Good value. No host so a little loud when we were there with music and day users. Very cool idea for a city to set up an rv park. Bathrooms needed some cleaning. I would stay again if passing through.

Come early. The other seemed very friendly, and were able to get water. We just weren't able to get a spot.
