Nice Park Off Highway
Nice overnight park close to Highway. We just stayed overnight, so didn't use any amenities. Sites are gravel and seem pretty level. Would stay again if in that area.

Good Spot
Not a resort but a nice park. Gravel sites that are level and good general store if you need anything. Great pool if you have kids like me!

Name Is No Longer Trav-L-Park
Name is Gunsmoke RV Park. Will up our review once we've stayed there

Okay
Stayed there twice in July en route to and from Colorado. Good for overnight stay. Park has internet, but was not usable either time we were there. No cable, over the air stations available from Wichita.
I had stayed at this park many times over the past 20 years, I feel they are not keeping the infrastructure updated, but the prices are reasonable and I only spend a night at a time during our travels.

Decent gated RV park
Our site was level however a bit small, the picnic table is just about dilapidated, water pressure was great Wi-Fi was OK sewer and 30 amp at site.
We only stayed one night as we were passing through. There were several train horns during the night and it sounded like the train ran right by our trailer....
The pool is closed the showers were closed as well as rest restrooms.
They do have a great looking tent
camping area
Pricey for what you get!

Great People And Park
We stayed here two nights with our four children. Sites are large, level, and clean. Wonderful service and very friendly people. If we are ever thru the area again, we will definitely stop again.

GunSmoke RV, would stay again
Overall enjoyed our 3 nights. Sites in the back are gravel and level. FHU. Owners were SUPER friendly and had ideas and brochures on what to see and do. Covid19 time so only used the pool which was clean. Only drawbacks was the noisy (but convenient) highway and smell of I'm guessing a feed lot down wind. Not much they can do about it.

Stinky Area
RV park was very well maintained with clean amenities and level parking spots. Warning no late arrivals are allowed. Do NOT plan to spending evening hours outside the RV. There must be a cattle feed lot near, the evening air was filled with the smell of cow manure.

WARNING!! VERY RUDE OWNERS!!!!
I was walking my dog to the grass area and noticed my dog was wanting to go to the bathroom on the gravel. I pulled my dog quickly over to the grass area and picked up his waste to throw away. Little did I realize my dog had dropped a piece of poop before getting to the grass, I didn’t see it but the owner said he watched us and saw my dog poop in the gravel without me picking it up. I returned to my camper and 15 min later I receive a knock at my door and the owner tells me that I left my dogs poop and here it is. He slammed his shovel against the gravel on the ground, dropping a ping ball size poop on my front steps. I felt really bad that I didn’t see it and apologized but as soon as I did the owner tells me this is my first and only warning, if it happens again then we’ll be gone! We were mortified that anyone who owns a campground would talk to someone and threaten to kick them out because of an honest and rather minor mistake. Keep driving and go to another campground!!!

Tent Camper
The RV section appears to be well maintained. Bathroom are very clean and functional. The tent area is OK but the grass was high. Probably from all the rain here recently. Road noise is fairly regular thru the night but not too bad. Other than that seems like a good place to stop off. Would give 4 stars if a little more grounds work in the tent area.

Great Place
Absolutely recommend this campground. Don’t pay attention to negative reviews from 2017 or before. The new owners are super friendly and very helpful. They’ll let you know all about the local stuff, help you back in, and even let me stay a couple hours past check out for free. Sites are nice and level, hookups are great. Close to all the local attractions. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay
We liked this place. Stayed here 3 nights. Sites are gravel but level. FHU. New owners as of 2 years ago. Very friendly. Clean pool (although it was too cold to use). Laundry room and shower/bath house was very clean and decorated uniquely. Very nice store too. Would stay here again. Used our Good Sam's discount and stayed for $38 a night.

Clean, Easy To Park, Great Owners
This park was recommended to us as the better of the two in Dodge City. While there's no way to escape the sounds of the highway or train, it was a pleasure to stay here. Very nice owners, full hookups, gated after 7, clean and well kept park-what else do you need? Small store at office as well, but then Walmart and Dillons are less than 10 min away too. We will stay here again if we need a place heading west

Great Park
We stayed here for 3 days and had a great time. Lots are gravel but level and FHU. Wifi was ok but not great. Dodge city is a must stop in the area. Go to Dodge city Museum and spent the day. Lots of history and fun.

Nice Place For A Short Stay
New owners as summer 2017. Very nice people. Lots of gravel fairly level lots in the front. More grass in the back lot. Very clean bathrooms and laundry facility. Picnic tables at all spots and trees throughout the park. Clean pool and nice play ground for kids. Gates lock after nine and require a security code to get in. WiFi seemed to work fine in the front of the park where we stayed. There is no cable. Antennas tv only. I really appreciated the secure lot at night. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

Pretty Nice
Pretty nice if you get in the back section, place is a work in progress. Needs some work to clean up some trashy areas such as around a little garage as you enter the back section. No cable which was disappointing, looks like they had it at one time. WiFi was weak. Some trees which made the spots nice. Would stay here again....nice front desk staff, very helpful.

Nice Place
We are staying here for 2 nights. It's 3 miles from Boot Hill! Gravel sites with grass I between and a few trees throughout. Sites have FHU and 50 amp. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful with sites to see and what to do when your staying here. The grounds are well maintained and are classic "Gunsmoke" themed. Great ace to stay! The gates to the campground close, starting at 9pm, but you can still access after 9pm with a code.
WIFI is very weak in the back, and cable TV is not working, but did pick up 15 channels via the antenna.

Leaving Gunsmoke RV Park, in Dodge City, Kansas. Been here for 2 days. The sites here are gravel, but wide with cable, wifi and FHU, and a nice pool. We stayed in a pull through. Easy on and off to Hwy US 50. The owners are new and are friendly and helpful. Lots of history here and great entertainment at Boot Hill in downtown Dodge City. Great campground and a great place to see.

Rude Rude Rude
We didn't even stay. .. we got there around 11:00 and was told we could come back at noon and she would "see" if she could help us. ..I don't know how these folks stay in business. .. we went down to Watersport RV... they were friendly and for $23 we got a descent spot with some shade. ..nothing fancy but goods for the money

DONT STAY HERE
Personally this is the worst RV park we have stayed at. Sites are not level, pool didn't even have water in it, ants all over hookups, outdated!. We were told there was only availability for one night but when we went to the main office in the morning they had 20 sites available so the woman lied to us!!!!! The woman who we booked it with was extremely rude when we called up and her excuse at check in was she just landed that morning on a flight from Israel. Maybe don't go to work then? Don't stay here unless last resort!

Campground is small but clean organized. Restrictions are heavily enforced by management. Spaces are medium size pull through for a 40 foot coach. Some back in. No cable TV even those advertised. Very close to downtown and the local casino.
