Very wooded area and lake has a wonderful beach area with clean water, shower house and shaded picnic area. Campsites are very shady and paved. Good space between sites. Some sites have electric only but there are plentiful water spigots throughout the park. Mainly 30 amp power though there are some 50 amp. Verizon good. Quiet peaceful park. Lake is large enough for ski boats and pontoons. Fishing advertised to be good. When reserving remember to check for water hook up if you are planning on that. We ended up needing to fill our fresh tank.

Great Camp Sites
We loved our experience at Mound Valley Campground. We walked through all loops and most all sites were well shaded and very nice. They provided good privacy and views or the lake or woods. We saw a deer walk through the woods behind our site four different times in just two and a half days.
There is a sand beach, which our 19 month old daughter loved. We went to the beach two days. The first day was a Friday and it was less busy then the Saturday when it was absolutely packed. The beach wasn’t as fun the day it was packed.
There is a dock for fishing and there is a small park. Unfortunately, the equipment, while in good shape, wasn’t a ton of fun for our daughter. No structure or slides. This would be a great improvement for the campground.
