Hidden Gem

In the heart of the covered bridges of Madison County, this peaceful camp ground was a welcome relief. First tried to camp at the city of Winterset’s campground, but it was full on a weekday. This campground had lots of available space and was a big upgrade. The ford spillway was serene and the abundance of wildlife was rejuvenating.

Great park to visit. City owned RV Park right next to this..nice level spots, we’ll taken care of, very nice and friendly host. Lots to see and do in this town. Had a great time , wish I could have stayed longer.

Great family oriented campground! The hosts are very nice. Lots to see and do locally. Some hiking trails, although they are not maintained.
