Horrible, Don’t Recommend
I typically don’t leave bad reviews but when we got there, our spot had been given to another camper without notifying us. We were put into a spot that was so small we couldn’t start a fire or even be outside our camper. We couldn’t even completely level our camper it was so hilly. We paid for two nights and ended up leaving after the first night. Pass this one by! It’s basically a bunch of seasonal campers and the only open spots are on the big hill which is horrible to get in and out of

First Impression
First impression, great place for kids. Office staff was fantastic. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Place was full for the weekend. Reservations only. Paid for pull thru 30 amp full hook-up. Well... Site was very hilly, unable to level our 33’ trailer completely. Sewer was up hill from our sewer drain. Unable to use. Had to unhook due to short site and no room for our truck. Still haven’t figured out how to get out in the morning. Due to hill and parked vehicle will probably have to back the rig out if I can get the truck hooked up again. Catch and release fishing pond. Only problem here was that I saw two different people keeping fish in bags. Mentioned at the office about water can’t run up hill for the sewer. The young lady (21 top) said they never had a problem with this site. They do not take into consideration the designs of today’s trailers. For a small campground, the fireworks tonight were awesome. We thought we were back at Dollywood. Sunday morning, we had to back out.

Forget About Tenting Here
They don’t have actual tent sites; rather they have a patch of grass with five picnic tables randomly placed and that is on a fairly decent incline as well. If it weren’t for the twelve hours on the road I would have found someplace else.

Great Stay
This was a great place. Wish we could of stayed a month. Sites were easy to get to. We have a 27 ft trailor and no problem in or out. Staff were the best and so helpful. Clean bathrooms with lots to do.

BAD Experience
Made reservation weeks ago. They do not mail or email confirmation. I asked for one or a confirmation number. Was told they don't do that. Got there at 2 pm on Saturday in July and they couldn't find a reservation for us and were full. Never again.

Taking Care Of Business
On a pre-season trip across country. Very convenient, right off highway but quiet campground. Clean showers and all the necessary services. Enjoyed a pleasant walk around the pond with the dog.

Great Location And Price
Open year round great for the early or late traveler.. Visited campground while taking some classes at the U of I. Winter is a self serve, spaces are on hills but fairly level.
