Great Indiana State Park for camping! Large sites. Lots of frequent water fill sites throughout campground. Easy in and out of sites. We’re 34 foot fifth wheel and had no problems getting water, leveling or getting into or out of site. Nicely decorated for fall and Halloween! Campers out did themselves with multiple fall and Halloween decorations! Awesome nightly walks to see all the decorations! Nice easy walking trails. Nature center had an amazing spider presentation that included kids making really cute spiders out of prickly seed pods. Grandkids loved it! Not sure who enjoyed themselves more- the grandkids or us? Will definitely return despite being 3 and a half hours from home!

Harmonie State Park

We stay in early November, the rate was 17 a night. It's a beautiful campground, I prefer camping when I know it'll be less crowded. The trees were changing and with less campers there it felt more secluded. I'd imagine that it would get rather busy during prime camping dates. It had 200 spots I think, some seemed unlevel. Also they have cabins for rent that were close to the campground. There were lots of playground areas. They claimed to have mountain bike trails and multiple hiking trails. The one trail we walked was really nice. They have a outside swimming pool for the summer months. The shower houses were okay, hot water seemed to take a bit to become warm. Bring your bike being that there is so many great roads connecting the campgrounds to ride on. We plan on going back again!

Locals

Frequent locals. Electric only. 5 shower houses, 2 outhouse toilets located at each end. Only few paved sites (handicap), others rock or dirt/sand, somewhat level. 3 updated playgrounds, very nice. Wonderful nature center, friendly staff. Pool open from Memorial Day-Labor Day, large slide, small kiddie pool also. Lots of trails. Park located on a river, nice playground there. Boat ramp at river, but river is very shallow, mostly for fishing boats. Small historical town close by, couple of restaurants/cafes.

Teardropper

Beautiful wooded state park. Our first park in our new teardrop RV. Pads are rock and dirt, ours wasn't real level. The notes say only 50 amp service, but they also have 30 amp as well. Shower houses were about average, but everything worked. A really nice, quiet park that we really enjoyed. You can buy firewood there, but it's freshly cut and not seasoned. Bring your own if you can or fireplace starter bricks to get it going. There weren't any mosquitos, but bring some gnat spray. They have Buffalo Gnats (can you say giant) by the thousands.
