Our Favorite Place

I’ve been camping here since I was a kid & still come back every year. Big, level sites with lots of room. Nice shower houses, friendly people, and a lovely park to enjoy.

Wonderful Eclipse

We stayed in site 12 for a long weekend to see the eclipse. Great campground with very nice sites. Hosts and staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were nice and the trails were in good shape. Looking forward to coming back to kayak in the clear lake.

Our New #1

Site #46. Nice CG with plenty of shade. We were there at a busy time but the sites were private and quiet. Sites are gravel, pretty level. Park is clean. Staff is very helpful. We did not use the bathhouse, so no comment.

Excellent!

Large gravel pads well spaced. Lots of trees foliage for privacy. Wifi! Amazing trails, lakes, playgrounds, well run, with friendly staff.

Fall Break

Best Indiana State Park camping we’ve visited so far! Lots of trees/foliage between large sites. Good easy hiking trails and beautiful lake. Only drawback: sites are not very well marked. Site numbers are not out front of the sites, they are on the back. Easy in and out of sites and park.

An Indiana Gem

This was a great park! Lots to do, beautiful, nice big campsites, restrooms were clean. We'll definitely be going back. One word of warning; check the park website or Facebook page before you book. They have a few big events, which could make it tough to get a reservation.

Shakamac

Very nice campground. Sites are very large. 400 acres of lakes with paddle and row boat rentals. Pool area seem very nice although it was closed. Hiking trails seemed well groomed. Very impressed.

Campsites always clean with good shower houses. Most sites easy to access.
