This is a nice little campground sandwiched between the railroad tracks and the Mississippi river. Accessable via stone roads only your equipment will get dusty. The real problem with the campground is during the week about 60 trains a day pass right by. To make it worse there is a crossing at the entrance so the trains blow their horns loudly. Its real bad for the sites right along the tracks. A little more tolerable if your down by the river. Some sites near the river are not level and if it rains and your pulling your camper with a front wheel drive vehicle you may get stuck and need assistance from a camper with a 4x4 like we did. But all in all it was a fun place to camp and a short drive to galena and chestnut Mtn.
