Like The Quite
Very friendly staff. There is no shade, not many amenities, corn hole, fishing ( if you can get to the lake) very quite, a 2 mile walk down a gravel path will bring you to a old rock quarry that is stocked with fish. You can kayak in the rock quarry also.
No showers, since I have a diesel pusher the showers are not an issue. One nice restroom with flush toilets and two other bathrooms without running water.
Personally, I like this site, it is quite, close to stores and eating establishments. We stop there every time we head north .

Ehhh
Big flat field with a campground stuck in the middle. There are camping amenities... But they don't include shade or showers. Not sure it's worth the $35 for out of county residents. Ok as a stop over... but that's it.

Great Getaway Spot
This is our getaway weekend spot. Close to home and work for us making it the place to get out of the house.
To those that complain about lack of full hookups, bath houses, amd the like, its ab opinion. We like it as it is. As for the pricem go east sometime and you will pay double for this with a lot less space. Kane County does a great job with this facility!
I highly recommend it!

Overpriced
Amenities provided do not justify a $35 a nite price. No shade. Campground is under used. No reservations and no credit card taken.

Nice, but Hot
Really nice, young campground. No shade, so it can be really steamy. Nice sites with gravel pads, electric and water hook ups between the sites. Firewood for purchase and they deliver it right to you. No bathhouse, but there are pit toilets and flush toilets. Perfect campground for early or late in the season. We store our camper at Vacationland also in Big Rock, about 5 minutes away from this campground, so we plan to use it as our "spring cleaning/de-winterizing" spot so we don't have to pull the camper all the way home to get ready for the season.

Very nice but too pricey.
Great campground. Very well maintained and level sites. Since this campground is relatively new, the young trees provide very little shade and my a/c worked hard over the memorial day weekend where temps each day were in the mid 90's. No showers and no sewer hook ups which creates some disappointment in the $35 per night for non county residents, thus the four star rating. You'd think that they would want to draw more out of town folks to their community to spend $$$ locally and not punish them with high prices. Staff very friendly and helpful. 10 years when the trees mature and maybe build shower houses and make prices similar to other facilities of the same amenities, you folks will have a top notch destination in my book worthy of six stars. Well done.

Very Nice Except
Great big nice lots, good power, paved streets, late checkout, super nice people, NO SHOWERS, and whoever designed the water system has a lot of splainin' to do. Bring 2 or more sections of potable hose. Quiet and peaceful, but slightly strange.

$25
Beautiful quiet campground. Open and clean. Campground host are awesome. We arrived and were told to go find a spot. The host would come by once we got settled and handle registration and offer a deal on local firewood. So awesome.
50 amp service. Water was a 50 foot hose from connection. So take a spare hose with ya.
Nice Midwest hiking trails and prairie land with a old quarry fishing only lake. 1.6 mile hike from camper.
Will be returning soon! Oh! Great cell service in the area with 4g lte.
