Spring Camping
Great place to camp! Weather in early spring is perfect for biking in City of Rocks and Castle Rock.

Super Quiet But Lots Of Little Flies
Probably the most quiet campground I've ever been in. Paved driveway, dirt and sagebrush all around. Hardly any shade. Campground is kept up nice. Close to city of rocks. Power, electric, showers (closed for covid). Everything is very nice but it's desert. So it's hot in the day and cold at night. And there are the most annoying little black flies everywhere!

Nice Campground
We stayed here July 22 through July 26, 2017. This is an Idaho State campground so Interagency Pass is not accepted, we paid $29 per day. Sites are fairly level, easy access, have power, water, tent pads, tables, and fire rings. Dump station located at entrance to campground. Sites have 30 and 50 amp service. I monitor voltage in my RV and even on hot days voltage did not drop below 118 volts. Some sites have views but most are surrounded by mid size Juniper trees. Showers and flush toilets located in campground. Host on site. Closest store is in Almo and seems to have ample supplies and ice. Park visitors center located in Almo and has a lot of information on the area. Campground is close to City of Rocks National Reserve, Oregon Trail, and Castle Rocks State Park. It can be hot in the summer! Verizon 3G/3 bars available in some areas.

Great campground. Quite with everything you need. Trail from the campground into City of rocks. Definitely would stay again.
