In Mcdonough

Been here twice. Will return many more times. The lake view sites are just beautiful. Lots of rock shoreline and lake grass full of brim and bluegill. I am a novice fisherman but the locals say there are nice bass in here. The water is real clear and warm this time of year. Lots of fishing opportunity both in a boat or from land. Stop at the local bait shop for the real lowdown and plenty of live bait!

Now a State Park

At some point, this area became part of the state parks system. It is now open year round. We have camped here twice this year. The park has been very clean and well kept. Many sites are on the lake shore with some being out on peninsulas.

I used this site to be my maiden voyage into the RV world. I have a small 21' RV which made it easy to find a spot. The hosts were great, made us feel welcome the first day. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. A very peaceful site. My wife and I will return.
