LEE'S-WAY

The park itself is a nice location. The only source of sewer is the dump station which is in very poor and unhealthy shape. The water hoses are broken and spray everywhere the water system leaks pipes and don't work properly the insulations not covering the systems anymore and there was a giant hornet's nest in the electrical box. We brought this to the attention of the host which told us the state does not provide any funds for maintenance or care of this park. The park and general would get a B+ for location and The preserve around it but because of the issues with the only dump station that services this park I would give it a D minus until the facility is repaired then the park will once again be in a B+ status. We stayed on site three which one calling the state park number was very confusing it's listed as a 20 ft and for trailer and horses only but when calling the host he explained that the information is incorrect in the system, and okay to park in the site it was good.

Nice Campground

Pick a site on the perimeter if you want any shade. Table, fire ring, water & electricity at all sites...all pull thru’s. Very clean tiled bathrooms & showers. Good for hiking. Great and R&R. If needed, there’s a Walmart and many restaurants five minutes away. (Bob Evans, Lee’s, Five Guys, Chili’s, pizza, etc.)

Part of the state park system with a few equestrian sites. We found it last fall and enjoyed the peaceful environment and came back this week. The Park attendant was very pleasant and helpful. A great stopover.
