Serene!
Beautiful area, not many bugs when we were there (August) Quiet, nice spots. Gentle mile trail around West Lake. Cool rock shop. Kayak and paddle board rental in summer. Check out dead man's lookout (open Sat Sun 10-4) and Red Feather village, so cute!

Easy west lake
West Lake campground has been our "go to" for a few years. Clean sites a vault toilets, walking distance to convenience store and good state fishing lakes
