This Is What Camping Should Be
This was our first visit to Aspen Glade and will not be our last. I tried to make reservations on line and read that it was just a First Come First Serve. When we arrived, we learned this is untrue. We arrived mid-week so there were at least 5 Open spaces for One Night only. One of the loveliest sites in the whole park (#21) was available and we snagged it! Spaces are spaced wisely with no one on top of one another. No hook ups but who the heck cares with such a lovely spot?! Bathrooms were very clean as was the rest of the park. I hesitate to say too much as this is a fabulous park that I hope never gets too crowded!

Nice FS Campground
Since discovering this CG earlier in the year we have been back two more times. It is a quiet place with nice size sites. Stated 35' max size is inaccurate - 40+' RVs would fit fine in some sites. Sites in the lower section, close to the river, can get very buggy so come prepared. Host keeps sites clean and vault toilets are not bad. Roads are good and access is easy off of Hwy. 17. Be aware that gas/diesel is not readily available in the area. Closest sources are Chama or La Jara, both about a 30 mile drive. Highly recommend this CG for a peaceful getaway.

Spacious
Nice campground with sites well spaced out so you're not on top of one another. There is a camp host and due wood available if wanted. Multiple bathrooms (no running water) and water is available. Some sites right along the river. A little spendy in my mind for a NF campground. I noticed a couple of sites that did not seem tent friendly.
