Off Grid Wonder
Time your arrival for sunny days to enjoy the Hot Wells! Pit toilets kept clean...Thks! Hike the Dunes. A few shaded picnic tables. Quiet but cold nights. Spectacular star gazing. Long road in with challenges; Go slow in areas. Bowie seems a little run down but very cool old structures. Prior Stop at Dwayne’s Jerky for treats. Apparently the quiet can change depending on time of year. Dunes are used by OHV’s and party types.

Great Place, For The Adventurous
Super quiet. 3 bucks or free during the government shutdown. Awesome camp host. Hot pools were perfect on a cold winter day of 45 degrees. The only downside to this place is the road in. It is rough. Had to creep my 28 ft TT through miles of potholes and one sketchy looking puddle.

Natural hot springs!
You can't beat this site. For only $3 we had a huge camp site, table, fire pit, bbq and access to the 2 natural hot spring pools. They are concrete with steps going in, they run on solar so they won't have water in them at night.
The sand dunes are amazing for off road riding. You need a flag to ride as the bushes and drives make it hard to see other riders.
We were here in January and it got cold at night, our heater ran a fair bit, but dining the day it was sunny and warm. Camp host is so nice.
There was hardly anyone here!! Love it!
