This campground is located inside the confine of the Moundville Archeological Site. 5 FHU sites and a dozen of dry camping spots. The camping fees are $25 a night, but you also have to pay the site access fees, in our case $7.00 per head, senior rate.
The site is calm and serene, and the museum is very interesting.
Note that a railroad passes near the park, and freight trains run day and night. We counted about 5-6 each night. It didn’t really bother us.
All in all, a very nice experience. We recommand this park.
