Gorgeous Campground
Arrived after dark on Friday 11/8/19. Guard shack unattended so continued on and found a level site with electric and water (set up in the dark). Woke to a beautiful sight, I had parked right beside the lake, there was mist rising from the water with the reflection of fall foliage. I ran into Ron, the campground host who informed me that with my America the Beautiful Senior Pass the campsites were only $9/da. (Regular price for electric and water is $18.)At the West campground there are nine sites that have electric, water, picnic table, fire ring and stacked firewood. Plus, there are tent sites with water and there are restrooms and showers with hot water. Camping limit is 14 days. Spock and I hiked the Nature Trail, located at the campground exit. The trailhead is no longer marked, nor is the trail maintained, but it leads to a bridge and alligators may be there when the temperatures are warm. (Alligators are in dens now.) Hate to leave after three days, storm coming.

Pretty And Quiet
Passed through on a Sunday,6/4. Very pretty lake. Campground to myself. Sites are well spaced and private. Electric sites are paved. Most have very good tent pads. 18 sites on West side. East side closed.
