The one year we stayed the black flies were really bad. This Aug long weekend the bugs were all but gone. It could have been the cool temp 56F one morning. Electrical sites are a good size ranging from grass to dirt.
The most noise was from the day crew patching the pot holes due to the constant rain weeks before.
The comfort station is at the non electrical sites. It is a far walk. The beach was closed due to blue algae. Some vault toilets were flush with sink, soap and mirror. They looked clean.
The park warden was quite visible driving around at least 6 times per day.
The dump and fresh water fill is before the gate house. You could drive off the hwy for 500 ft, refill, dump and carry on without paying or registering at the gate.
I found the wood a bit more pricy than other provincial parks. I guess the price is not standard for all parks.
The call of the loons and whip-poor-wills was nice to hear at night.

One Night Stay - Sept 2017
Quaint park on the river. From what we exported, passing grades all around.
Nothing exceptional, but good.
Definitely a park that leans towards a 2 nite max layover, than a final destination.
Need a break -this is the park.
Drive-thru's level and have very good privacy.
FYI: park seasonal closing mid-Sept - this time frame, check if closed

Lots Of Mosquitos!
Bring an extension cord because the electrical boxes are in between the sites in the brush. Only two other campers.
