Privacy & Traffic Issue

This campground has a lot of sites and a lot of traffic. I must have picked the busy road in the Beaver Dam section. Site 264. The undergrowth is not high and there is no privacy. The ground is sandy with some grass. The laundry facility is good; $4 (loonies) for a wash and $4 for the dryer. There is only 2 lanes with 1 dump station each. You might wait an hour If you leave at 10:30 on a Sunday; but that is weather dependant. The staff were very friendly.

Provincial Gem

We spent two nights at this park during our circle tour of Lake Huron. On the Canadian side we stayed at Provincial Parks. This was the best. This is a large park with hundreds of sites, however they are large and well separated. Lakefront sites are best as you are close to beautiful beaches. There is a glorious beauty to this park. We enjoyed hiking the shoreline which is a combination of sand and smooth granite outcropping.
