Camping In A Swamp
Super cold cold water, wet wood and some of the longest drives from the gate house to the far end of the campground.
We got a site in the 400's and wow was it buggy. Basically surrounded by a swamp.
Beach is deep sand which is really hard to walk on.

Lovely Park
We stayed for 3 nights but because of our size we were near the TCH and the truck noice was relentless.
The hiking was fabulous and the beach was incredible! The firewood they sell at the park is s#%t!!! It won’t burn at all!
Make sure you get the famous apple fritters up the road! Best we’ve ever had!
I would stay again but I’d reserve closer to the water for sure!
Showers were ok but the water was freezing!! They fixed it once the complaints started coming in.

Fantastic Fall
Great Park. Great beach. Great time of year as all the fall tree colours are starting. Dress warm the wind off of Superior is incredible.

Fabulous Swimming
Spectacular swimming. Super clean clear water with sandy bottom. Really great beach and outlook. It’s a provincial park so the standards in the campsites were typical - nothing special but well maintained. This is a place we will return to every time we are in the area.

Great Beach But ...
If you like beaches this is the place for you! Really beautiful. The sites were level and of a reasonable size. The park is tightly packed between the beach and the highway so you can hear the trucks all night long. You almost get used to it but it’s always there.

Nice Beach, But...
The park is close to Hwy 17 and the traffic noise is the worst I’ve experienced in a provincial park. Most of the sites are lacking in privacy as well.
Beautiful beach, but that’s it.

Circle Tour Stop Over
First stop on our circle tour of Lake Superior. Three class A’s in our group. We like Canada’s Provincial Parks, and this is a beaut. Shoreline and view are outstanding.

Beautiful
The beach was awesome and the view spectacular, the beach must be at least 1 km long so we had our own little spot just by ourselves. But how come there is just one trash bin at the entrance of the park when the park is so big?

Bahamas In Ontario???
Beautiful beach and if you are lucky to have a beachfront site, bring you hammock. Strangely felt like the Caribbean, but with pine trees.
Had a non-electric site with complete shade so no need for A/C. Site was spacious and level. Shower house was average for a state/provincial park.
**Note: if you are coming here from the north, be sure to fill up with gas in Wawa as it is the last stop for gas til Pancake Bay.
